Last time, we talked about detailing the exterior of your car. Now, let’s learn some tips on detailing the interior.
– Have pets that ride in your car? Put on some latex (or non-latex, if you’re allergic) and rub your hand over the seat surfaces and the carpet. You’ll pull up a lot of that pet hair with the static electricity you’ve generated, making it easier to vacuum it all up.
– Also before vacuuming, use a stiff nylon brush on the carpet and seats. This will help de-mat the fibers of the fabrics and loosen up any dirt. If you need to do more of a deep cleaning, then use a gentle fabric cleaner and dry with a soft cloth.
– Don’t bother with the headliner. You can loosen its adhesive, eventually causing it to sag. If it’s really necessary to clean it, don’t soak the fabric and be gentle.
